Default Top Speed Of A Raptor 700

What is the top speed of a raptor. I was at the beach the other day and looked at the speedo and it showed 125 kays. Would this be right. Thats a stock standard 09 raptor 700.

ATV Magazine stated that they took a stock 08 Raptor and took it up to 73 miles if I recall correctly. I can't get mine to go that fast because I have slime in my tires and it throws my tires off balance and causes my front end to shake around 60 MPH.

I feel that 98.4 is inaccurate, no wind resistance first of all.............

thats true, but then again how would u b able to say the road is flat, or dirt causes more friction than pavement... I do see your point, just saying no "true" top speed

i'd believe it..thats 77.5mph..totally possible!

here is a gearing calculator of what the raptor CAN do, with all variables out. This would be the gearing limited speed at redline. It doesnt matter if you had 500 hp and the quad weighed 150 lbs, and you only weigh 50lbs and its hurricane force winds or a vacuum tunnel...none of that matters.....this is what the quad CAN do if you can hit redline.

http://www.xcracing.com/gabe/quad_calc.exe

With my setup (15/38 gearing with 20 inch tires and 9100 red line) it has a max speed of 103mph. However, I cant hit redline in 5th YET and am running in the mid-upper 90's. See what happens with the new head/cam. Than I should have enough power to overcome the resistance to hit that speed.

mph and the gun is dead on. im a feather weight.

another factor in the top speed calc. most people dont think of it tire expantion at speed i have a set of 22'' that are about 25" at speed (slow motion video thats how i know) and that will add a good 12 mph right there
