Suspension Replacement/Extended Travel

Looking to replace the shocks I currently have and move onto something better, plus possibly a +1 or 2 kit on the front (still not decided on MT/LT/Stock Geometry). Going to install all it myself, and my budget is about 1000-1500, though the cheaper the better!

Have looked into Elka, does anyone have experience with the Legacy series shocks? Would the lower stage shocks in the newer style be worth the added dough? Who else on the ATV market should I be looking into?

Pt. 2: Stock geometry or a +1 or 2 kit? Not much into racing it, that'll be my next bike, but I definitely want the added stability given that I ride this thing like I stole it every time I go out. Will just new shocks provide the stability I'm wanting, or should I be looking into stomaching the extra cost for LT?

You are prime candidate to talk to Jogaca. He will save you tons on shocks and it will ride like the expensive units.

He's in Phoenix. He's a helluva guy, he's built shocks for several people on this site and others. His prices are WAY lower than Elkas, and he sets em up for your size terrain and riding style. He ll point you in the right direction, even if it ain't his.
Google JOGACA Suspension.

Jogaca is the shiznit. I'm riding a pair of yfz shocks he built for my Raptor, and he rebuilt rear shock for my weight and style.

Praying he never decides to stop offering his services, lol.
