Time is running out with one day left and this has really been fun. Since I am on your friend's list, I would really appreciate your vote for the FCI intake System. Voting can be found on the Raptor Forum posts.

    THANKS, Larry

Im installing a je 12.5: 1 piston. I normally run 93 octane. Im just wondering if this is enough or if I should jump up to 100+ octane.

    Hey Willy,

    I have a 2001 Raptor.

We were riding yesterday and i was in second gear going up a small hill through the woods.... tough terrain with rocks ruts and all of a sudden it slipped and it felt like i was in neutral.. had to drift down the hill and get my momentum back to make the climb. Made it up no problem There was no grinding noise, its like the bounce caused the trans to go into neutral). I have no problem shifting into second gear the rest of the day and one other time over some really rock and bouncy trails I was in second and it all of a sudden went into neutral, again no grinding noise or anything just reved real high like I was in neutral. In fact, the last hour or so of our ride the bike was just tearing through the trails. I went through the gears on a long flat straight a way and ZERO problem shifting, no slips, no grinding or whatever.

Does this sound like a tranny starting to go bad?
