Can anyone please post a pic or point to me the plug that I can unplug to try out if I should or shouldn't do this mod?

Best way to get rid of speed limiter is to buy a dynotech ignition. I bought mine from DL700. He put in a custom curve for my mods and one for my future mods dude knows his stuff to.

There is no reason for a switch. Just disconnect the battery and ecu, ground the baby blue wire on the corner of the harness and call it a day. If you unplug the sensor on some bikes the rev limiter will still pull timing and there is no point and on some it works but the check engine light comes on and then run like crap. If you ground the wire the light will not come on and it will guaranteed remove the speed limiter. There are people on this forum that have ran this mod for years with no issues.

+1 I've had it done on mine for over a year and no problem at all works great! Gained almost 6 MPH on GPS and my Vapor.

Here is a link to the past speed limiter removal topic also if anyone wants to read it. After a few pages people talk about what gains they have achieved from this mod.

Does this only benifit you in 5th gear??

I heard someone else talking about it retarding the timing etc.

I just want to make sure it is only in 5th. If so I am not too concerned because Im scaaaaarrrrrreeedd to go to fast on the top end so it really isnt an issue for me.

I like to get to my speeds in a hurry, but I have no biz going 75mph plus offroad if I am not in a roll cage .

I know I am a sissy

Thanks
