New to the forum and have been doing some searcing and cant seem to find the correct jetting i need. I ride in Connecticut basically no more then 1000'ft above sealevel. When i purchased 660 a few months back it had a CT exhaust with the k&N air filter and airbox lid cut. It is too loud for where i ride so i picked up a used stock exhaust and will get a new lid cover for the airbox so water does not get in. i will keep the k&N airfilter in.
my question is what should the jetting be with basically the only mod being the k&N?
mains?
pilots?
needle setting? etc?

You can pretty well go back to stock, #25 pilots, with about 142 main on the left and 145 main on the right carb..........

no i have not, i did not know you could do that. what is the purpose of the disks? if i was to remove all put one would i have to rejet or anything?

you may or may not have to rejet when discs are removed depending on how well it was jetted before
the point of the discs is to free up the exhaust system more or cork it back up and tone the sound down...
i would go with willys jetting for the stock pipe with airbox lid on..although i beleive 142 mikuni main is a half size and may be hard to find...they should go up in 5's 140 145 150 so on...i know dyno jets use funky numbers like 142 and 148 and crap liek that lol but there numbers represent somthing different then mikuni...but basicaly the dyno jets run 1 size large compared to mikuni...meaning a 142 dyno would be in between a 145 150 mikuni 148 dyno is in between a 150 155 mikuni...
its much easier to stick with mikuni style jets though if buying a jet kit later or needing to buy jets to rejet for the stock pipe

needle in the middle clip stock jets are mikuni 140 145 mains 22.5 pilot mix screws at 2 and 2.5 so the right carb is 145 and 2.5 out.... the left carb is 2 out and 140 main

thanks for all the help i will be going with willies suggested jetting.
any ideas where i should set the needle Clip? 5th clip?
and should the pilot screws be out about 2 1/2?
