I have a problem with my clutch. When I first startup my Raptor and put it in to 1st gear it jumps forward. It happens with the cluch still in. How do I adjust the clutch cable?

I have this problem also, but it's only at the initial startup. I've also noticed that its tough to push the bike in gear with the clutch in. The problems seem to go away as soon as the engine is semi-warm. I think thats just thow hey are.
That is exactly what my bike does. I makes me crazy. Do you know if there is a fix for it?

There is a little bit of adjustment if you pull the rubber cover off of the clutch lever. I like my lever a little sloppy. Rappys have a wet clutch right? The problem is probably a dry clutch until the oil gets to it.
That would make sense. I guess if not broke, don't need to fix it. Thanks

This is normal, and unless it is severe or does not go away when the engine warms up, there is nothing you can do about it, nor should you worry about it.
The clutch is bathed in oil that, when cold, is rather thick. The viscous oil between the clutch plates causes drag that tries to turn the driven plates even when the clutch lever is pulled (somewhat like a torque converter in an automatic transmission). This is completely normal. The thicker oil viscosity you use, the more you will notice. As the oil warms up, the symptoms should go away. If it is more than you like, drop your oil viscosity at your next change - like from 10W40 to 5W30.

Start it up in Neutral and dont shift it in to gear until the engine is up to normal engine operating temperature. You shouldn't be riding on a cold engine any way.
Jumping forward with a cold engine and dry clutch plates is 100% normal. The only way to get around it is to have the clutch improperly adjusted to tight, but then you will smoke the clutch from slipping it.
