Default ATV.com Gives Away 2013 Yamaha Raptor Project

After building it up with thousands of dollars in parts and accessories from GYTR and others and taking it out for a final test ride, it was finally time to pick a winner of ATV.com's Yamaha Raptor 700 Project ATV. We reached our hand into a very large figurative hat and the lucky winner was chosen Dewayne Hughes of Ware Shoals, South Carolina.

We called up a very surprised Dewayne and told him he won the contest. Though we weren't entirely sure he believed us, we finally convinced him when we pulled up in our truck loaded with his awesome new ride.

I take it you are bottoming it out, common problem. Fact is, the stock rear shock is insufficient. But what you could do is increase the preload (spring tension) as tight as possible. Then you can also increase the high speed and low speed compression by adjusting the screws in a clockwise direction to increase the damping effect. You will have to play around with it until it is better. The adjusters are click style. Whatever you do, do not screw them all the way in and leave it there. You must back them out, or else you will end up causing damage. But to be honest, the rear shock is not up to scratch.
