The zx14 raptor really needs some 16-18 paddle rippers in about an 81-84 roll out. I have ran through three different sets of paddles and even my current 16 paddles blasters just get overpowered and bend over the paddles. It hooks OK in really wet sand but after it has been chewed up it just spins. I know others on here with r1 raptors that struggled with the 14 paddle extremes but with my 60 tooth sprocket mine has power I cannot get to the wheels as of yet except on pavement. When you look how massive the zx14 motor is in size compared to the r1 you can really see the difference in scale the motors really are and the torque curves reflect it.
I had always wanted to turbo it but I use mine around our property far too much to limit it's drivability. I know it is hard for others to believe but I ride it whenever we go visit our friend 6 miles away. It is no trailer queen, it gets ridden on the trails, pasture, and in the field upon occasion to settle a discussion on who has the fastest quad. It doesn't get bounced around the way my other quads do, no gncc riding for this one but I still prefer to drive it if we are going out on the road for a little ride around the countryside.
