Problems attaching files

Directly attaching JPG files (and any other allowed type of file) using Edit/Go Advanced/Manage Attachments has stopped working for me (says "Upload of File Failed")... Image size is way below max allowed (500k).

Also, old JPG images (these are not URLs from, for example, Photobucket) that had been attached using this technique are no longer showing up in my old posts.

I have a crapload of images attached this way to hundreds of Raptor Forum threads for troubleshooting and repair - if they don't come back the forum has lost a lot of information that, in some cases, can't be replaced.

Any ideas?

Same for me. previously posted pics (hosted by this forum) are gone. Pics hosted by an external site are still there. Also cannot upload without using external site.

As per the PM you sent the Admin account on this issue:

- The error is known to us. We're looking into it. Tech will be digging into it and resolve it when they can.

- What browser/device are you using? Can you provide a URL of a thread where you had this issue so I can investigate?

Is your browsers URL for this site (or any bookmarks you use to come here) starting with https instead of http?

Sorry about the post and PM... I thought they might reach different audiences. I'll answer here so other members can follow.

Answers to your questions:

- I'm using Chrome on an HP notebook running Win 10 Home, Intel i7-4700MQ CPU.

- The URL in the shortcut I use starts with 'HTTP:'; however when loaded from this shortcut, the page shows up as 'HTTPS:'.

A link to an example of the lost thumbnail/attachment in one of my posts:

https://www.raptorforum.com/forums/2611378-post2.html

And a link to somone elses post, obviously with the same issue... at least to me - I can't see a thumbnail in the box:

Thanks for your assistance. Hope this helps.

All links, URLs, Bookmarks ect should be HTTPS. If you have any bookmarks please update them.

As for the issues, I kicked that up to tech. We'll look into it.

The issue is still being investigated. Tech has been backlogged with issues across some sites which are related to the update. Once I have seen them put a fix in place i'll let you know.

Yes, the issue that I was referring to does appear to be resolved - I can see the thumbnails and the attached images in my old posts again. Thanks!
