660 carbs will gum up if left without using a fuel stabilizer. In most cases the carbs need to be pulled and rebuilt. When removed, count the number of turns for idle and fuel screws so they can go back the same. Don't mix jets or parts parts as some are different. Run a small copper speaker wire thru all orifices and blow with cleaner or compressed air. If parts need replacement, use genuine Mikuni parts. Stay away from Chinese/Taiwan clone parts.
