Welcome to the forum!

No offense, but what leads you to needing a CDI and stator?

First of I bought this quad that was sitting for God knows how long, no spark plug in the cylinder so the piston was rusted bad,I checked the numbers with a multimeter and it was only giving me one reading and nothing from the white wires, just the red/white and green/white, a 494 reading as for the CDI I think the one on the quad is stock,it might be good, but I don't know yet,I bought a big bore kit of Ebay Niche big bore kit 686 piston is crap though, but that was just to try and getting it to start, but it only crank away, and even with the clutch in the rear tires would move a little bit when I was starting it and also the reverse light stays on... I bought both ATV's fir $300

Did you unplug the regulator and try for spark again? May as well save money for mods - shotgunning only wastes it.

No I did not,I didn't know anything like that, but right now I have it taken apart,it needs radiator hoses, gaskets, and a really good clean up,the thermostat and water pump had this white crusty stuff on it, like little chunks in some places, but what does that do,unplugging the regulator?

I tried what you said about unplugging the regulator and still no spark,I'm just gonna replace everything, since I don't know who messed around with that quad, one thing though the stator was soaked with motor oil, looks like one of the o-rings from that channel thingy on the side of the stator that motor oil runs through is bad,and the last owner loved using gray gasket maker, but once I have everything ready I'll post updates, thanks for your help,I read a post of someone else has no spark, and willy was telling dude of possibilities and then you jumped in the combo.... good stuff man,I'm learning from you guys....

The stator exists in an oil filled environment...

To learn more read the stickies; download the manual and read it too.
