Intake valve

Ok so I thought my parking break rev limiter was stuck well I by passed that and still nothing. I called a shop and the guy told me that these 660 are notorious for the intake valve to tighting up will that cause it not to start. It was running really good then I parked it for about 2 hours and now it wont idle or start and suggestions

He is correct about the no-start if the intake valves are worn closed - check valve lash to fix. However, that WON'T cause the initial problems as you described them. If I recall you said initially it would idle but was not revving for s**t.

Check/adjust the valves then go back to troubleshooting the original problem.

Easy to do - download and read the manual and look at the stickies. Does it try to run or not seem to be able to fire up at all? Have you checked for spark?

So I took my bike to my buddies shop so I had a place to work on it. When I got there it started up and would idle then i hit the throttle and it would cut off. So we tried it a couple more times and it cleared up and revved up. I guess it was fluded it has a miss in it still tho what do you think I need to do

Let it cool down and adjust the valves.

Run some SeaFoam double strength to clean up the carbs some more.

I don't believe in miracle cures... We'll be happy to help again when the issue shows up again ('cuz I suspect it will, but I hope it doesn't!)

Dez's Seafoam suggestion can't hurt and can clean up some lesser issues - I'd do it!
