UPDATE: i got the flywheel off and i checked the chain. It has more than enough tension i have a video, but it has zero slack, i think its a bit over tensioned. Im still going to replace it but could this issue lie deeper inside? For example piston? Wrist pin? Im also finding metal glitter and a kind of sheen on the oil, a sliverish color could this be from the piston slapping?

Dir you remove and properly replace the tensioner? If not it is way over tensioned.

the manual tensioner is still on after i get this new chain im removing it, its been finicky and I don’t trust it, i have the stock one and i am installing it with the new chain, i also know how to reset the tensioner too, but would an over tensioned chain be making that sound or would out of spec valves be the issue? Im still finishing up the exhaust valves, they are a pain to get too but I don’t really know what else could make such a loud metallic noise
