I forgot tom mention , i am getting 12v going into and coming out of solenoid , no spark

Correction i meant 12 going into and coming out of CDI , red wire in black wire out

That black CDI wire needs to be grounded... then something might work!

You MUST download the manual (free at top of 660 maintenance section)
and learn the wiring diagram on its last page! We can't do all your homework for you.

Im sorry. By all means i am doing my homework to the best of my knowledge , its really to follow a diagram when i dont have the key switch , run/stop switch , any lights. I have a toggle as the key/run/stop switch and a push button start that i bought . I am having trouble on where to run the wires that i dont have , i need to know how to wire what i do have . And trust me i do appreciate all your help, i havent been able to ride in moths now and i am just frustrated that i cant get her running

So, have you grounded the black CDI wire?

Well after looking again it seems someone had jacked with the wiring before me because the closest thing i have to a black wire coming from CDI (SO I CAN GROUND IT ) is black with green circles around it

Is it coming from the correct location on the correct CDI connector? I doubt it's been messed with - YOU said it was black in #12...

Read "The differences between 01 and 02 CDI wiring explained" a sticky in 660 maintenance... look at the 2002+ 8 pin connector. Does this fit what you see? Don't worry about the rings on the black wire, just is it in the right place?
