Raptor build . 720

So I have had a 03 raptor I picked up from a forum member from bluetrax back in 06 -07. He had the bike shipped out to trinity racing and Glamis desert to ride (from Rochester NY). Trinity did a 686,10.1 JE., Pro ported head, 32mm center valve, stage 1 cam. FCR 35mm carbs and trinity intake. Also dyna tech with custom program. Now i have dyno sheets and every receipt for this build and it did 70 whp. I also know my butt dyno says it feels like 48-52ish. Well thats been fine for a bit till it started backfiring and popping when I opened the throttle. Short story I found the woodruf key cracked in half and wedged back together (like an offset key).
So now I installed A +4mm Vito's crank, JE 12.1 piston (12.5.1 with the stroker crank), Stage 3 cam, ss valves, hd springs, Also going to sell my Thunder Alley single pipe and bought monster duals with big core. I also just picked up A csr HV ported head with +1 valves. I will try and find a local flow bench to test my trinity head vs. the coal shed racing head but I put all my money on the csr head. Any input is help full. (sorry for spelling grammar)

I'm not into 660's but I don't see a 70 HP build with a 10:1 piston and stage 1 cam. The porting would have to be outstanding to double the HP. Even your new build may need more compression to reach your stated HP range.

I did say it feelings like 50hp. Every one know Trinitys dyno is way high. I am hoping for 70 with the new build. But really if it feels fast I'll probably skip the dyno.

High dyno numbers sells parts, and when some one pays big cash for work the shop better deliver. This leads to false dyno #'s. Also dynos are not all exactly the same. You could take the same machine from dyno to dyno and get different numbers.

What I would do is do base line pulls at dyno of your choice. Do the work and do some more pulls at the same dyno. It would be best if the dyno shop has no affiliation or stake in the build so they have no reason to pump up the numbers.

What jetting did you use with the FCR's?

Well my 720 is not finished (waiting for my hv head) but I do have base line dyno from Trinity and then some after the work they did.... I know it just a number . My 720 I am playing with the idea of no base gasket and running the middle single layer head gasket. I don't care if I need race fuel. I just read through about 11 pages of head gasket/ base gasket info.
My bike was dynoed with 102mm,stage 1 cam, and edelbrock single carb at Edelbrock research was 44whp. The same base line at Trinity was 56whp.
After Trinity did the fcr35s ,pro porting (32mm center valve) ProFlow intake open box was 70.3. going by the base lines from two different dynos' Trinity is about 12hp on the high side. So my 686 is around 58hp.
I talked with a guy that has ran a coal shed racing HV head and he said the higher the comp the better for this head
I really only trail ride and occasionally drag race and am probably getting caught up in a big numbers game but it keeps me busy

Id probably call Kenz and see what he has for stroker pistons if your wanting higher compression than the 12.5:1 I believe he had some that were 13-13.5:1. Id go that route before I would mess with peeling head gaskets apart.

Well I need a non stroker piston that's the problem. Gesick makes a custom 14.1
102mm stroker piston. My crank is a Vito/ Barker. just a normal piston.
I found an old thread with one of coal shed racing HV ported head. He did a 721, 11.1 ,x4 cam, 39fcr, Barker duals on 93 pump and it did 78 whp 54tq on the dyno.

Kenz should still might have higher than the normal 11:1 or 12.5:1 pistons.
