Hey guys, how are you all?, Quick question for you all, I bought this bike a few months ago and on my last ride the fmf exhaust blew off of the bike, never noticed it before but it looks like the mount closest to the engine was for some reason welded as you can see in the picture, is it OK to just use the rear mount or should I get the front one fixed? I attached a picture , Thanks for any advice, Max

It's always best to use all the mounts as designed. But use what you can, maybe add a bracket to tie both pipe brackets to one frame mount.

Mount it and wiggle it. If it moves a lot you need better mounting.

Hello Im 0rvYFM660R I have an 01 Raptor 660R I honestly have no idea how long this beautiful machine was left outside for,it sucks how some people just leave them out for years, when I got it,it had the carb taken out as well as plastis, air box,etc...good radiator and alot of parts, cdi i found inside of the plastics where the battery is, the harness is in good shape(Miracle) ,now I bought a few new things like carburetor, ignition, starting solenoid, battery, but it just clicks, when i bought it it had no spark plug, it was exposed, just open, maybe is Seized? Needs a bit of lube and hand cranking maybe? But I was looking into this pictures of the CDI and one if my plugs just has One Green wire with a yellow line in Center, the plug with 4 pins, and I checked and the other 3 holes are plugged from factory, ill take pictures later and post them? Any suggestions anyone? I initially bought 2 Atvs from a Real estate Investor who was trying to clean out the yard,so he sold me a Kymco Mongoose Maxxer 300cc and Yamaha Raptor 660R YFM for $300 for both.... Yes, for both, the Kymco I've been ripping it,but the Yamaha needs love.... Thanks guys Great Forum by the way!!!! I need help with timing marks,

On the pictures i posted of the motor opened, I just couldn't wait any longer and ended up opening the quads engine, it wasn't moving with hand cranking using a long break a bar,1/2" with 3/4 socket on the stator nut,so this was what I found when i opened the engine, but everything else on the quad is golden,I got me a 686cc 102mm big bore kit, comes with everything, so Please if you anyone can help me with timing marks and how to go above, I can rebuild a car engine, Honda/Chevy/Ford so I am mechanically inclined and understand,I've been reading here alot of you guys conversations about fixing and telling people how to fix as well,so GREAT JOB AND GREAT FORUM!!!!

The timing parts pretty easy. Piston at top dead center, flywheel peephole at the "I" not the "h", and camshaft sprocket marks are even with the top of the head. Download a service manual for an illustration
