Colorized lenses

So i have tried out a few different colored lenses for sand riding and wanted to get others opinion on this subject.

OK to start out the colors that I have tried are the standard clear, amber, and a grey.

Clear: Night riding, other then that I find them useless for anything else.

Amber: I love this color for the sand, the shadows stand out a lot more then the ones that I have tried out. They are shaded enough to keep the sun out of your eyes and cut down on the glare of the sand.

Grey: Great when riding on a bright sunny day, these are much darker compared to the amber lenses i have.

That's just my opinions with colorized lenses, I want to hear others opinions and try out different colors while riding.

I have been meaning to get colorized lenzes for quite some time as I have always used clear. Like you said, no good on bright sunny days.

Recently I have been using yellow lenses for really sunny days. Helps out great on the sand.

Enhances the shadows enough, I have a problem with depth perception on the sand.

I've used peach color lenses with perscription sunglasses for sand dunes. I have switched to blue lenses with the same sunglasses, and they seem to be better in the dunes. Just buy a few colored lenses and see what works best for you.

I dont know if they make them for goggles but in the military we used photochromic lenses in our Oakley's that where orange. They would transition from dark to light depending on the light outside and fast. They also showed shadows way better or the depth of them I should say. Kind of hard to explain. I am not sure if they make them in goggles or what else but I do know that they are not cheap.

I have Black Iridium lenses for my Airbrakes. These are great, dark enough in the sun but still light enough for overcast. They really help enhance the sand and see what's out there.

I have clear for night and they came with grey. The grey are good for the sun, but the Black Iridium are my favorite so far. I know blue is supposed to be good also.

I have blue as well, I like them. I think this fall I will be getting a variety of colors. It seems like I end up going through mud in the spring, have to take off goggles to see then they get scratched...it sucks, lol
