Let's clarify what everyone is talking about.

I was referring to the on/off switch on the left side handle bars that came stock with the bike. I do have a lanyard kill switch as well that has zero affect on the fuel pump other than when pulled if ever I was to fall off grounds the system shutting it down. That is on the right side.

@morphrider I'm sure that one turns off anther power circuit. My previous quad had it and if it was on OFF then you wouldn't get spark. I don't know how the wiring is done on yours but it apparently disengages fuel system and probably a spark too.

But mostly its just a habit i picked up years ago when i had a stunter F4i, the ignition was moved to under the frame rail so it wouldnt break the key off when i sent it end over end
