Another exhaust queation

Couple of questions. I am getting new exhaust for the the raptor 700 and was looking into Barkers or monsters. What is the difference between the color of the labels on the Barkers? I think I have seen blue tag black tag and yellow (I think).

Also, are the Barkers and or monsters going to be quieter than the HMF single exhaust? If so, how much quieter? Because the hmf is very loud and annoying.

I went from a big gun single to monster duals. They seem to be slightly more quiet with a deeper rumble. How much more quiet? I couldnt say... they are still loud! Lol. I dont have quiet cores in though, that would help. A guy once told me you have the same amount of exhaust gasses going through 2 silencers instead of 1 and thats why the duals are more quiet. I dont know if thats true, but it made sense im my pea sized brain

Thanks for the response! It makes sense having 2 mufflers vs 1 making it quieter. The hmf is ridiculously loud.
Why did you chose monsters? Are they better than Barkers?

I have no dyno evidence to say that one is better than the other. I simply preferred the sound of the monsters to the barkers. Plus i called them up and the business owner answered, not some secretary that doesnt know anything. Cant remember the fellas name, but he was super helpful and informative. I was sold as soon as i spoke with him because i like that kind of customer service

That is understandable. I hear good things about both.

I have the Barker duels, main reason being I got them used but in great condition. If I put the quiet cores in I could ride it through a library and not turn a head. Maybe not but its close to stock but with a growl. Hope that makes sense. Without the cores in, which is always the bike sounds very good but not obnoxious. I have a buddy with a HMF on a Honda Rincon, it seems to be all bark and no bite. He's not impressed either. I've never heard anything bad about Monsters though. I've seen posts from long ago where Tim Barker was replying to folks questions on a forum, and if 4stroker says he talked to the owner at Monster, that's good enough for me. Guess it's just whatever suites your fancy. Whatever the hell that means.

DASA. Top power and noise gain. But you can reduce the latter to normal level with quiet core.

2016 Raptor 700R, Street legal, HID kit, 15T front, AIS delete, Jogaca suspension, Adjustable rear link, LSR 2+1 A-Arms, Axcalibar axle, PC5 w/timing and autotune, full Dasa exhaust, Talon 36T rear or stock 38T

Monsters, Barkers, DMC Force 4s, and Empire are all top performers. Empire noses ahead in the horsepower category but only by a little. That's on big bores though. If you want quiet then go for what exhaust looks best to you and offers a quiet core.

Paul is a great guy. He attends a lot of the west coast events and is always contributing to the sport. Plus he builds the best exhaust systems on the market.
