Hey Guys.. noticed quite a bit of play in my rear hub bearings and the carrier appears to be scrap. My question being is there an upgrade out there that I can buy that will take stock bearings when the time comes to change them again? I've seen the RPM setup but really dont want to be ordering bearings from the usa if they fail in the future (I'm UK based). Or would you advise staying OEM?
Any advice appreciated
Thanks
Factory and aftermarket carriers will use the same bearings. However, be aware that most aftermarket carriers use two wide bearings, one per side. Where as, the factory original has four narrow bearings, two per side. They are all interchangeable, but the two bearing system is usually stronger. Any bearing should be available from UK sellers by the numbers on the bearings and seals, or by measuring.
oem is a good choice theres some decent priced ones on amozon dont know if you get amozon there.. ebay you can find lightly used ones but shipping to you is prolly high
I have the new X maxx v2 8s and already cracked the front steering block, I upgraded to aluminum, and thanks god Traxxas is sending me some replacement parts, steering blocks, arms and an extra body. do you think these RPMs will be a better upgrade for the rear instead of aluminum? Thank you in advance, Liked and Subbed , if you can please check mine Tutuapp9appsShowbox

Get the protrac kit and use the rear carriers it comes with. I've had my kid broadside my truck with his bike several times and the rear wheel always absorbs a significant impact and my protrac kit has stood up wel, haven't broken any parts from it. I've had crashes rip the rear end rigt off the chassis, ripped the ends off of Trx shocks but I've never had to replace a protrac part. Also I have had good experience with proline's customer service when I got a bad screw with my chassis saver, they asked me to email them with an attached pic of my receipt and immediately mailed me out a new set of screws for free. PL's CS has treated me better then Traxxas.
