Gearing Ratio Chart

A while ago I saw a discussion regarding the different types of gearing ratios for different types of front and rear sprockets and rear tires. Someone made an excellent chart showing all of the different kinds of possibilities. Two days, I did a search and found it again, I tried to bookmark it but apprantly it didn't work. Now I can't find it again, belive me, I've searched. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Re: Gearing Ratio Chart

When i get back home to my desktop, i have an excell sheet that you can enter your gearing and even tire size if I remember correctly and it will give you your gearing.

patton, here's a very easy way to see gear ratio

stock is 14/38.....38 divided by 14=2.71 gear ratio

I run a 15/37......37 divided by 15=2.46

16/42................42 divided by 16=2.62

You can use alot of different combimations to get the ratio your looking for

In my opinion that is geared way too low. I doubt you can even use first gear with that setup. Of course, gearing is all relative. How much power your bike makes has alot to do with it
