OK let me see where to start because I just started buying sh..t and dont know what i got. First I got the monster dual exhaust for my 09 raptor 700r. Think I made a good choice here. I also PCIII but dont see one for my 09 model... Dyno jet site has them for 06 - 08...will this work on the 09s? On that site it shows the maps " Which I have Know idea what a map is" for different mod, pipes, air filters, boxs, ect. But none for the mods I bought. I feel im In over my head with the commander. I know i got to have a fuel controler with these mods. I here PCIII is the best???? Any help..
09 raptor 700r stock
99 honda foreman 450 es
dyno jet K&N
HMF snorkeled all the way
lifted winch
ITP polished wheels on 28" 589s
Beer an gun holder.... to much junk for a honda$$$$
PCIII is the one to go with in my opinion. The 08 should work for your 09. The internals on the 09 are the same as the 08. I put the PCIII on mine was fairly simple.
As for being your first sport quad. I will tell you like I told my daughter. Respect the power or the power will reach out and b*tch slap ya.
You gotta get a intake too and maps are like umm fuel controller's instructions like you could get a map for monster duals and pro design intake you know what i mean?
The o8 version will work, it is what is on mine. Setting up the PCIII is very simple there is a post right in the header of this forum where you can get a map that is close enough depending on which intake you get, then you really should gety it on the dyno and have it tuned. mine was close but when on the dyno I was very lean on top and rich at the bottom. I mounted mine in the tool box but some mount theirs in the air box. There are lot of people here that can help......Enjoy.
Does anyone know where a dyno is near Hattiesburg MS. I dont know about the commander now because thats alot of shit to do just to get it runinnin right. Install, maps, dyno, whats next.... I dont want a new bike that dont run. theres no way to get it right with the computer. I thought thats what the computer was for.. tunen the bike in.
hey man i'm in mississippi. the closest dyno is in denham springs, but bo white in tuscaloosa uses one up there and tunes bike and knows what he is doing. you can get a map that is gonna get you pretty close from the site that is on here under the pcIII thread. I got some from other guys on here for my build i'm usin a 797cc map on my 770 right now. There is a lot to PCIII but if I can get it figured out you can. If you wanta call me about it pm me.
Thank U guys alot.... As soon as i get my commander Ill holla at u guys. Right now im just haveing a blast........... The only other quad i rode was a warrior, this machine is a whole lot more than that warrior crap.. its stupid fast stock.. little scary but im getting the feel for it. I cant stay off it. WOOOO HOOOOO
The 08 and the 09 will be close enough for you to get by. As quoted before, dyno tuning is worth every $ you spend. It shouldn't be that hard to get a pipe and an intake dyno'd in. A turbo or supercharger will take a little longer but its well worth the money. Our N-sane turbo kit offers perfect driveability with awesome power and its because of hours and hours on a dyno and real world testing. Spend the money and you wont regret it for hours and hours of enjoyment. We believe the key to success is how long you can sustain a smile on your face from your ATV pulling your skin off from the high torque curve......
Nsanetubo guy let me get a grip on what i got first. Its seems to haul tail stock but i know im gonna get tired of that in a little bit. Its my first sport quad so im gonna take it easy for now..........give me a month anyhow.. thank you guys for the help
