Raptor 350 petcock or carb?

Hi guys,
Just wondered if any one else has had the same problem as me.
I have just rebuilt a salvaged 2004 raptor 350 and it runs and rides great but if i turn the fuel off and come back to it won't run, but if I pull the fuel hose off to the carb and let a bit of fuel out it starts straight away away a runs all day. until the next morning when the same thing happens all over again. If anyone can tell me if this is the petcock or a problem with the carb it would be great. I have tried it with the fuel cap off and its exactly the same.

So it seems you have fuel flowing, I would clean the carb.
