using a honda xr 80 rear shock on a raptor 80!?!?

now i have read that a few people have fitted honda xr 80 rear shock to the rear of their raptor 80's for increased suspension travel and better handling.
anyone here done this? i have a cycle junkyard in my town and the guy wants $25 for a used xr80 shock.
should i go ahead and give it a try?

Your not wrong.

The attached clip contains footage of my 6yo and 9yo doing some small jumps. They pretty much bounce on landing.

yea they are bouncin'
really disapointing tires offer more suspension than the suspension
www.Rathracing.com has a 2 stroke Predator for sale $4500, strictly race setup with high compression. Also has 90 Honda for sale (Race setup)
Rath does suspension mods for youth quads
Saw a pic of Honda 300 ex front suspension on 90, looked good.
Really needs to be better OEM offerings

What year of xr 80 shock fits the Raptor 80. Also, how is it? Do you notice a change? Thanks! Ron. G
