Water in air box in Raptor 50

I bought my son a 2004 (I believe) Raptor 50. We took it out riding and he loves the mud. I didn't notice that the air box was up front and it has the air holes in it. Everytime he splashes through water it soaks the air filter and it dies.

Is there anything that can be done so he can still go through the water?

FYI, it's not deep water. He just splashes through it.

Welcome to the forum,

If the holes are just drilled in and not OEM a quick fix is to just tape over them. Keep an eye on how it runs after doing this though.
