OK, the time is here, it's winter. I put my chains on, but it was like -20 and i was in shoes and a jacket. so i rode for maybe 5 min
hit 3rd and 4th with some good speed. i went through about 12inches of powder, it was a fight, but i wasn't getting stuck or having to rock back and fourth. as long as it was powder i could force my way through. I didn't try to stop and go again, but i think it could have been tough going. I think if i could get a set of front smooth dune tire with a rib that may help it out a bit, keep the front end up a little more, less resistance. or even some skis now.
the tire chains were a set i had on my honda accord, they were about 1 section to long, so i cut them down to get a nice tight fit, i have 5psi in the tires, i didn't get a chance to try any less.
i used the tightners which is pretty much a bungee cord. it'd work the same.
here are some pics.
i havn't had to use this to pull the raptor yet....i'm hoping to keep it that way.
