Engine Modifications Raptor 700 SE 2015

Greetings from Dubai,

Having a slight confusion with parts for the 2015 raptor 700 SE.
I currently have a sparks full exhaust,PC5 and a KNN.

Interested in doing the following:

1.Cam stage 3(I have been told that the current cams does not fit on the 15,As the last set was made for 09-14 and Yamaha has changed the cam for the 15-16)
2.Bigger intake(FCI or monster)
3.Piston for stock bore 102mm.....with a compression 13:1 or 14:1
(Gas at the local stations is 98 octane)
4.+3 on the throttle body
5.Dyno tune

I mostly ride dunes as we live in the desert out here,Dont need the power....Just want it.

Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Thank you.

If you don't wreck, you don't ride

Not sure on the cam. But get a FCI, at 98 octane I wouldn't go past 12:1. +3 throttle body will be good too, hit up Steve at tqsatv.com. I'd say you would be around the low 60s horsepower wise.

I agree, that's a great, reliable build, use a CP brand piston, FCI, no box, and a K&N style filter (it's different and better then K&N) with Outerwear, (ask Steve). The stage 3 cam is a good choice if it will work with the new head. You'll also want a 15 tooth sprocket.

Hey Gents,

Thanks for your advice.
I need to figure out the cam situation,I have been told the 2015-2016 has a completely re designed cam and they have nothing available.
Steve has a 12:5 CP for me......Will see if i can get all my stuff from him itself.
@DEZPERADO
Could you provide me with a link to what intake setup you are talking about please?
I would like to buy it once and for all for all future mods.

Steve has the FCI intake kits available. Just look on his site. For a sand bike, it can't be beat.

Ask Steve what filter he suggest for your dry sand. Is it coarse or fine sand? I have a K&N style, looks the same, but has more layers and filters better. Foam is good, but will deteriorate with time, don't know about paper.

Of course TQS isn't the only place to buy parts from. But, he is a reliable, trusted vender on the forum, with good prices to match.
