Need entirely new clutch

Basket, hub, everything. Where and what is a good one to buy? Definitely not spending a fortune, Not a race bike, just stock trail junk. But I will not put OE back in. Thanks

If you don't want to spend a lot and aren't going to go oem, try eBay for some used billet stuff.

Why are you set against oem stuff?

Clutch was fried when I got this thing with 27 hours, so I chalked it up to being because the shitty half fiber. After that I did a new clutch and now I believe the basket is grooved cause when engine is cold, it lurches forward and dies about 5 times.

The gytr stuff on ebay is ridiculously priced. I'm looking at almost $700 for the basket, hub, and boss... Does that sound right?

At 27 hours of stockish power, it's either poor adjustment or bad rider technique.

When oil is cold, there is drag, bike will try to lurch a bit.

And yes, the billet stuff, gytr Hinson and such is all very expensive.

Last time I rode it I let it idle for 15 mins and feathered the clutch a bit and it lurched forward 3 times and died each time. Clutch it maxed out also.

Alright, a buddy of mine is sending me his basket off his 450 but I'd need to re rivet my gear onto it. I can't find the rivets anywhere. Any idea?

I went through this on my 660, I don't think you can reliably re-attach the gear to a stock basket. If your basket isn't salvageable, your best options are an aftermarket billet basket, or try to find a good used stock one complete with ring gear.

If it's not grooved too bad, file them out.

Is there any chance that the hub could be grooved as well?

I suppose it's possible. Haven't ran into that yet.

Now I'm confused, are you buying parts before taking the thing apart?

The basket is free. I just don't want this thing down for weeks so I'm kind of prepping. That's all.

I know when I put the clutch in @27 hrs the basket was starting to show signs of grooves. Ever since then the lurching only got worse. Now I think the actual fibers are toast since my clutch is fully adjusted out with barely 1/2 inch til full engagement.
