Head Port and Polish

Hello all, sorry I know this has been discussed loads on the forum, however I still can't seem to answer my question.

Has anyone had any good experience with porting and polishing in the UK? Ideally I would like to avoid sending over the pond just for courier costs and the fear of it going missing or getting damaged.

So my raptor is stock, asides from scorpion dual exit, PCV and pro design intake. I have done 15000 miles on the beast, which would equate to roughly 750 hours and still all original with nothing but new oil filters and plugs done every 500ish miles.

So I'm thinking it probably about time for a top end rebuild and thought while I'm in there let's unleash some more potential, I know from reading the forum that there is a lot of gains to be made from a good port and Polish, hence the question about where I could potentially get a good job done in the UK, failing that I may have to consider sending it over the pond. While I'm there some advice on valves, cams and piston would be good.

I mainly use my raptor on the road, I do of course do the odd trail blast now and again. I would ideally like a good power gain while retaining the reliability that I have. I know these don't usually go hand in hand but I'm sure I can get some decent gains without sacrificing reliability.

As always any input greatly appreciated

I should also mention that I run 97 octane fuel and run between sea level and possibly 1000ft on occasion.

I can't yet help you with the port and Polish however there are a few places slightly north of you that do rolling road maps for PC, check DynoJets website put in your post code and select the ATV/Kart Dyno option

Or you can get generic maps from DynoJets website and install on PCV yourself. They even tweaked a map for me as the one I was running was too rich low down. The UK technical guys are really helpful
