Clean your oil screen!

Hey guys, I'll share something that seems rarely talked about. It's the oil screen in the bottom of the oil reservoir. I'm not sure if you guys clean it regularly or even know it exists, but now you should know regardless. If I were you, I would recommend cleaning your screen every 3-4 oil changes. I change my oil and oil filter every 40 hours, and I recently did my 4th change and decided to clean that elusive screen. It was worth it! It's not something you should ignore. Now granted, even though it was still easily clean enough to let oil flow through, there was a lot of crap I cleaned off of it! Unfortunately I didn't think to take a pic of it before I cleaned it, but here it is after I cleaned it. I wiped off the big stuff, popped out the o-ring and sprayed it with a little bit of brake cleaner. Good as new! Don't forget to take a look at these screens once in a while. Especially if you buy an older used raptor, definitely clean it out! [IMG]http://

Never even thought about it. On my YZ250f, it's part of the oil drain process. Will do this on my next oil change though....

On the bottom of the oil reservoir right near the drain plug. After you drain the oil you can stand the quad up, then you can see what you're doing way better
