xide ASK Power Sports, Columbus Ohio 8-2-2018

I was looking to purchase a 2018 Raptor 700 base model (gray) I had emailed them early in the week asking about availability and they had 1 in stock. I called them the day before I was coming in and they said they just sold it, but they have the 700R and 700R SE in stock. I expressed how I really didn't like the blue color and the base 700 was more of the price range I wanted to be at. So they said well since you had emailed us and planned to get the 700 and we sold it before you could get here then I will sell you the 700R SE so it won't be blue, for the same price as the base 700

So I made the hour long trip to get there and I only saw the blue one, and my salesperson Joby remembers talking to me on the phone and informed me that it's in the warehouse and that he will have them bring it over but wanted to check to see if i'm qualified for financing first. He kept his word about selling it to me for the same price and I was approved. So I had to wait for 2 hours for it to get here from the warehouse, during that time we talked, shared stories, etc. He is a really good guy to get along with, very easy going and laid back with lots of knowledge as he has been racing motocross since he was 7 and has started his daughter at the age of 7 as well.

I had to find a uhaul place so that I could rent a trailer to bring it home (I waited in case there were any problems with the delivery or financing) Google maps led me to some convience store the first one it had pulled up, so we had to scrable to find another location. So we find another one and well thats a whole other story, short version is to start the guy a the counter was too busy flirting with the chick that could easy be mistaken for jabba the hut, EVERYONE was so high there they had no idea what trailers they had, I had to find it myself, and then they kept screwing up the paperwork, at first the charge was going to be $24, then he had to go back and change the destination because he assumed I was using it in columbus....figured my address would have prompted him to ask that, so he started all over and the charge went to $68, and he became confused why the price changed. It was now 4:45 (I got there at 4) and ASK power sports closes at 5, the guy at uhaul tells me he needs to find his manager to see why the price is so high now (not as high as him) I said dude I don't give a fuck, i'll pay the extra amount but I need to go and I can't keep wasting time while you try to figure out which was is up. So he radios the guy to hook up the trailer, the guy on the radio was equally if not more high than him and couldn't find the trailer that we just found, and said it doesn't exist. I said to tell him it's the one with the big dodge ram backed up to it! It's about 4:55 at this point so I can Joby and tell him whats going on, and that i'm about 5 miles away, he had no problem waiting for me and I arrived back around 5:10.

Once I got back they had closed up but were still waiting for me outside, and walked me into the service garage and out back where I could inspect the bike, and a service tech took his time to explain maintenance, functions, had me sign off paperwork, etc. despite it being past 5. The service tech (forget his name) helped us strap it down, and was equally as cool and laid back as Joby and talked to us and bullshitted around for about 30min. telling us stories and about his recent "battle wounds".

One thing to note is that this is my 3rd Raptor, my first Raptor 660R was purchased from them back in 2003 I believe, which is why I went back to them for my 3rd even though I no longer lived in Columbus. The place I purchased my 2nd Raptor from was locally but they had went out of business.....but between the 2 I would rather go to ASK instead, because all of their staff is great.

My only complaint there would be the pop machine was out of order (but Joby managed to find me a Mt. Dew from somewhere lol) They didn't keep many quads (approx. or comp. dirt bikes (approx. 6) in stock there but they could get whatever we wanted in a few hours from their other stores or warehouse i'm told, and that they didn't have too big of a selection of helmets, goggles, etc. So we visited Iron Pony for that stuff.

Overall Grade = A-

gtg91 Twigg Cycles, Hagerstown Maryland 8/12/2017

was looking for a 2018 700R special edition, I called on thursday 8/10/17 they said they had one on the floor, Jacob in sales spoke to me awhile about the quad. I called on Friday and confirmed I would take it, the dealership asked for $500 to hold it, no problem there. I told Jacob I worked till 1 on Saturday and that I would be at the dealer around 3:30pm and asked if that would be an issue because they closed at 4pm, he assured me there was no problem. I arrived at the dealer around 3:20, met with Jacob, he proceeded to give me a tour of the facility and introduced me to some of the staff in various departments. I was second in line to meet with the finance manager so I hung out and looked at some of the amazing inventory in the showroom. Jacob took me outside and showed me around my new machine and made sure I knew how to operate it properly. I went back inside and talked with the finance manager and since I was paying cash it was a very simple and straight forward process. I went outside and Jacob helped me load my new quad and even stood with me when it started to rain to help me get it tied down in the bed of my truck and I made the trip back to Pennsylvania. All in all it was a very simple process and a great experience. While I was there I spoke to roughly 10 people at the dealership and everyone I interacted with was very polite and professional, I was there about 20 minutes past closing time but no one seemed to mind. The out the door price for my new raptor was roughly $9800. Everyone did a great job and I cannot wait to do business with them again. A+ job by everyone involved, I would recommend Twigg Cycles to any of my friends in a heartbeat

SB Motorsports anyone?

Anyone buy new quads from Southbay Motorsports in Chula Vista, CA. Some years ago I have gotten parts from them and no complaints. Anyone deal with them in new motorcycle purchases? Anyone recommend a stealership in the San diego area? I am in National City by the way.

Sentinelshockey22 Hey guys, I just wanted to give a shout out to Hillview Motorsports located in latrobe, PA. When I bought my new raptor last year I did a lot of shopping around and had different experiences at a bunch of the dealerships around Pittsburgh, PA. The staff at Hillview was leaps and bounds above the rest. They did give me the best price, but a local place offers price matching. I chose to drive the extra distance to Latrobe and go through these guys because they treated me so well. There wasn't much haggling as his price was by far the lowest out of everyone I had already talked to but he did help me out even a bit more when I told him my wife put a cap on my spending. Once the paperwork was done I went over the entire ATV with their head mechanic and he explained a bunch of things to me and answered any questions I had. I would definitely go through these guys for my next purchase. If your in the Western PA area and looking for a dealer I recommend these guys.

91talon27 Full throttle Motorsports Lansing, Michigan. I have been looking for a 2014 raptor 700r locally for months and couldn't find one. I called and asked about it and was told they had one left. I put a $250 deposit on it and explained that it would be almost 3 weeks before I could make the almost 6 hour drive to pick it up. No worries. Arrived at the dealer was greeted almost immediately by the salesman I spoke to on the phone. Applied for Yamaha card and was out the door in under 2 hours. Gave me $1300off msrp and a matching helmet for free. If you are in the area I suggest them as a first solution. Ask for Doug and tell him Chris Amburgey sent you. He will help you out.

Purchase F
If there was a grade lower, that's be it. Was going to buy a brand new 2014 700R. They asked me if I wanted to apply for a Yamaha card, told them no, I'll go threw my own bank. They said ok, wrote up a purchase agreement, including the accessories and warranty. Faxed it to the bank, was approved, they sent all the asked for documents back by fax to the dealership showing I was approved and a copy of the check. Dealership said, awesome, she's yours. Excitedly went home dreaming of wheelies while I slept, showed up in the morning after picking up my check made out to the dealership from the bank, and they sold the machine the night before after I left, and refused to get another one unless I left the check plus a $500 deposit to show I was serious.

Gear selection - E. or A if you prefer only Fly racing brand.
Salesman, partsman, shop mechanic, F. 100% legitimately have never told me the truth on something. it took them 11 months to fix 2nd gear on my 660.
Owner - First class as*hat. He's a 23 year old pimple face little bastard who has a $75000 Jeep SRT8 because he rips off so many people. Their grade on the BBB is a C. and my neighbor is involved in a lawsuit along with 4 other people because of fraudulent charges.

A+
These are the people to go to.
Their warranties and customer service is top notch. VERY quick email responses.
They have an incredibly broad selection of gear from a ton of brands.
Called due to a recently purchased product malfunction and had a replacement sent next day, no questions asked and didn't even want the old one at all.

raptordude B+B yamaha in manheim pa.

I think it's a great place. Prices are fair, they have a nice building with lots of inventory, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Also the mechanics know what they are doing too. I recommend it
