Also if I give it throttle it will stay on, and sometimes not always if I give it throttle it will sputter or back fire on me

I didn’t touch the position sensor during the rebuildDid you bump the throttle position sensor so it's not in spec now?
The reason for the rebuild was the quad had a bad crankshaft bearing cause it to seize while running so I put ima new crank and piston. As for the wiring harness I just unplugged all the connectors to the engine and removed the engine and plugged everything back in when the motor was back inWhat is the history of the machine? Did it run before the rebuild? Did you remove or mess with the wire harness? Does it have an aftermarket fuel controller?
Upload a video to YouTube, then link it into here.Anyone know a way I can post a video for y’all ?
I don’t know what the idle is set at I haven’t touched it, how would I go about checking the idle screw ?Sounds like a mix of valves and the injector ticking. What is the idle set to?
ok I’ll try all those things and give an update to see if it works out, thanks for the adviceI think you have an electrical issue of some kind. If you had a mechanical issue serious enough to kill the engine, it wouldn’t restart as if nothing happened. The wiring harness looks janky in your video, I’d be looking for wires that were yanked too hard and are loose in pigtails, chafes, etc.
Or possibly the crank position sensor going out? I’ve had that happen on several vehicles. As the engine would warm the sensor would start messing up & kill the engine. Let it cool for a few minutes & it would start up again. Crank sensors don’t go out often on raptors but just a thought
Your valves sound just a little bit louder than usual, but it could just be the video. Raptor valves are supposed to make some ticking noise. Recheck your clearances to be safe
Being an 06, could it be a vapor lock issue? I’m not super knowledgeable on the symptoms of that
