Hey guys! I just bought a 2008 raptor 700r and looking to replace the rear plastics as the bike was rolled before I purchased it, causing the clips that connect to the grab bar to break and now the flares at the back look uneven.
Looking on partzilla and bear in mind I’m just on my phone.
I’ve heard the rear fenders are all the same and it doesn’t matter what year that they are all interchangeable! The 2016 blue rear fender is half the price of the 2008 and I’m just wondering if it will actually fit or if I should just just spend the money on the 2008 fender. Is partzilla the best place to get the oem fender?

I’m sure this has probably been spoken about a lot but as I don’t have access to a computer at the moment as mine crashed it’s a bit difficult to search through everything. Any help or direction to the correct thread would be greatly appreciated!

Below is a few pictures of the quad and why I want to change the fender!

Yes, All years 2006-2021 Raptor 700 rear fenders are the same.
If the 2016 color is half the 08 cost, there must be a slight difference in color between the 2, with the 08 costing more as they make less replacements than the 2016.

Call to confirm they have whatever color you want in stock. I ordered a set of the maroon 2020 plastics for my 06 back in March. Still waiting on the rear maroon ones, unknown when they will have them. Shows now to be in August, but it has been changing and extending out weekly.

There is no color difference for the blue plastics from all years.

Luckily the blue front and rear fenders are the cheapest option, due to the fact that they have used the blue color on at least one model nearly every year of production.

The rears are only $76.38.

You will need the foam isolators, 2 pieces of heat tape and possibly have to transfer your warning labels from your old fenders. I have heard some members who ordered new fenders say that they came with the warning labels.

Could you post a link to the foam isolators and heat tape? If I am going to replace my front fenders too, do I need any foam isolators for it, or any other accessories for installation?

Yes color choice affects availability. I also ordered a rear set in March and am still waiting. I guess the nicer colors take longer to get :)

Rear fender

Heat Tape
1S3-2163A-00-00
1S3-2163E-00-00

Foam Isolators
1S3-2140A-00-00 (Need 2)

If you are staying with the 08 style front plastics, there are only 2 small foam isolators for the front fenders as seen in diagram as #2.

https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/atv/2008/raptor-700-yfm70rxgy/front-fender

The 08 front fenders are $198.70 and the 2013+ are $111.75, but if you want to swap to the 13+ front end you will need a new tank cover, hood, stone guard, fender brackets, headlight trim rings, 6 foam isolators, 2 circlips, and the tuning fork emblem for the hood.

Sell me your plastics to recoup some of your money
I have a set of used ones that I will sell you once I put my new ones one. It’s the blue and black 2019 colors. There’s minor damage to the front fairing on the left side, which isn’t bad…just about a 3” cut but it’s not bad at all. The rest are in really good condition.

Is it the set in the picture? What’s your price?
