Hello, just out of curiosity, is anyone running a 50mm throttle body? When is it a good time to upgrade to a 50? Any gain/loss?

Cuervo racing once posted;
47mm for 50-77HP.
50mm for 70-80HP.
54mm for 77-97HP.

The bigger the TB the less velocity you have for bottom end power.

Does the head need to be ported to run the 50mm throttle body like the 54mm?
Porting is never necessary, but your wasting your money adding performance parts that won't reach their full potential. You'll find few people running a 50mm because it is easily outgrown. A 47mm and 54mm overlap the powerbands making the 50mm almost a waste of money.

Always check the rubber intake to see if it needs porting to the TB.

I asked Cuervo Racing for a map and they offered me the 47mm.
In fact, it is a lot more expensive than here in France.
This company looks super professional.
They sent me a free map.
As a thank you I take the Mod 47mm.
You think I should take bigger?

What are your modifications?

cam?
intake?
exhaust?

I would say you're in the -60HP range, so go with the 47mm throttle body. That is a factory throttle body machined 3mm bigger and a new throttle plate to match. You'll need a map adjustment to match.

This is it, I ordered from Cuervo Racing;)
I wait to receive everything to make all the changes at the same time.
I hope to feel a real improvement.
There’s just the exhaust line that’s already on the 700.
