No, but will be overkill unless the engine is built and tuned to need it.
The air/fuel ratio is set by the ecu, or a piggyback module like a PCV

Well i bought the 50 because i have full duals and large intake adapter. Soon ill have the head ported with plus 1 valves and a +5 crank. So it wont be overkill for long. The msd fuel controller will add more fuel if i program it to but not on its own. Its all good now. Got a fuel and timing map from dl700. Runs like monster.

and what cams ? Who's doing the head work?


an easy way to tell if the throttle body is the restriction is checking the MAP or vacuum with changes in throttle position. What you will usually find is about 75% throttle gives you the same as 100% .. in that case, the throttle is not the restriction in airflow.

What’s your current numbers with big gun pipes?

I would stay away from HR 5mill crank
