you can also jump them with an car or starter box
batteries last awail. my dads warrior is a 94 and just got its third this year(the raptor also has a sealed battery which should take the abuse beter then the nonsealed ones he had in the warrior.)

The battery will last a lot longer and won't be dead if you hook it up to a battery tender when not in use.

With a battery tender you should get at least 4 - 5 years out of it. Although some of the yuasa batteries have gone bad as quick as a single year.
