Transmission locked, and 5th gear is toast, which happens to be a yukon gear. Among the debris was this 3/4 x 3/4ish piece of sheet metal, not cast. It has the common yamaha greenish tint to it. I cant find anything in the motor broken or missing anything. All locking tabs on locking washers are present. One corner is square. It was in the transmission area after splitting the cases, definitely has teeth marks on it too. Its not a milled piece. Does not appear to have been a washer at one time. It is thinner than the pieces that are bearing retainers. I guess it could be a random piece of metal that fell in the engine, but I kind of doubt it. Its the only piece that was not an obvious cast gear.

Any ideas?
