Just bought a 2002 660 bike with no mods done to it. Stock even down to the air filter. The only thing done to it was an after maket clutch. When i bought it form the guy i didnt notice the problem but when i got it home and really test dove it i noticed that in first gear it hesitates. When the machine got warm the problem seemed to get less but was still noticeable. Took the air cleaner off and cleaned the carbs best i could with carb cleaner and air. Did not take the bowls off. Put bike back togeather and still has the same problem. Am i right thinking its a carb problem or could it maybe be the clutch the guy put it?

Any input would be much appreciated thanks.

When you say hesitates, what exactly do you mean? Is the engine revving and it's getting power but no movement, or are you hitting the thumb throttle and getting a delayed result?

If it's the first it's likely a clutch adjustment or install problem. If it's the second it's time to look at ignition and fuel mix.
