when adjusting the chain slack should the ~1INCH slack when the quad is under it own weight? i mean wheels touching the ground but nothing on it. :confused:

I always adjust it with the wheels on the ground and no one on it. Some people my say to have someone sat on it but there's not a lot in it.

Alot of people have thear own way to adjust a chain. This is what I do... with no one on the bike go to the rear sprocket & grad a link in the chain. Make sure it's a link that's engaged with the teeth of the rear sprocket. If you can lift the link off the tooth of the sprocket more than 1/2 way your chain probly needs adjusting or replacing..
