Has any body ever changed their stator generator thing? I ordered a new one that produces more watts than the stock one and its in route. Just wondering if anybody has tips or knowledge of difficulty level and steps to complete.
when i had my case off it looked pretty easy to do and might do one my self in the near future. jack the left side of the quad up so that the oil goes into the other case so you dont loose any oil... unless of course your due for an oil change... also remember where each bolt goes as they are differient sizes. also you may need to tap on the case with a blunt blow hammer to get it to break free... i would also invest in the two gaskets you will need. they are the same ones that are used when replacing the one-way starter clutch. be sure to check the manual for torque specs as most of the bolts need a proper spec to avoid damage.
