ok i am in mid process of changing clutch fibers, but i cant figure out the shaft part, fibers ar in torqued down, everyting is fine, but how do i get the pull lever shaft lined up with the pull rod? do i have to take it off to pit it back in? i really dont want to do something stupid.

Its a PITA but line up the 2 adjustment marks. 1 on the shaft and the other on the case. They are just 2 small lines, Then make sure the teeth are lined up on the cover and the shaft, then just kind of feel it in there. It is the hardest part of the deal.

keep the shaft straight as possible and get her on. More importantly, please make sure you leave some slack in your clutch cable line. That way you actually release pressure off of your clutch, when your actively not engaging. If you don't then you will burn your clutch after an hour or two of riding.

I speak from experience.
