so i bought an 04 660 on saturday (5-15-10) and it starts out in 1st fine and lifts the front end up nice, but when i get into third, or fourth and get on it a little bit, it feels like the clutch is slipping hard. idk if its wheel spin or the clutch is slipping. (riding with new holeshots on an open field) what do i do

Moving somewhat slowly in an upper gear on asphalt or hardpack, pin it... if the engine overruns the rear wheels immediately, it's the clutch.

well i hit the street after it was warm and it went like a bat outta hell =]. but now my problem is the adjustments. i know how to do it and adjusted as i saw fit to take most of the slack out of the cable but now after adjusting from the motor and from the lever, it grabs WAYYYY at the end instead of more close like i like it. do i need a new clutch? or am i adjusting wrong
