Ok guys let me try and explain this, i've got the 2002 if that is applicable.

Under the waterpump there is a hole. (Not on the side where the drain bolt is but underneath.)
My bike is leaking all of it coolent out of that hole.
Is there supposed to be a bolt in there or do i have serious issues.

I went riding and the bike was fine, when i got home i saw coolent all over the driveway and pinpointed the leak to that hole.
I went through the service manual but cant find that hole on the diagrams. I also checked the oil and i dont have any water in the oil.

Help plase!!!! :help:

the seal in the water pump is gone bad...it'll eventually be useless. The hole is a weep hole to tell you to replace it. Another cool $130 shot in the ass. good luck,

Pull the pump, there are two seals one coolant and the other is an oil seal, you may only need to replace the seal, these are rebuildable. you can get every part inc. the impeller seperately from yamaha. and its quite a bit cheaper than the whole pump assy.
