did you soak the clutch discs in oil overnight before you installed them?

I've found it to help. If not pre soaked, the fiber discs will be rubbing on the metal plates with no lubrications until the motor oil gets pumped to there. Doesn't take much of this to put a bunch of heat on the plates and shorten the life of the clutch fibers.

If new plates are used in clutch replacement it is common for the clutch to creep even when properly adjusted. I put some pressure on the back brake and the let out a little on the clutch like you were riding it, this helps the new discs and new plates to seat together better and it only takes about 10 seconds to do.
