Hi guys, I'm going to buy a cp 11:1 piston and a hotcams stage 2 or 3 cam.

My question is, do I need new valve springs for the stage 3 or not?

my setup right now is:

Yoshi RS7 full titanium system
PC3
Pro flow intake kit

No, stock springs will work fine with any of the hot cams. If you go up to a larger duration cam line a megacycle, webb, 5050, etc you will have to upgrade the springs.

Your changing the piston to 11:1 so IMO the HC3 would be my choice. if you were staying with the stock compression I'd go with the HC2

You do not need them but they are a nice upgrade. A friend of mine has them in his bike and we have otherwise similar setups and his is much peppier, dunno how to explain it but it makes a very noticeable difference. It revs back down to idle much faster than mine too.

It will be one of my next mods for sure.
