Pro Taper SE Raptor bend will fit. Most all the other 7/8th dirt bike bends will rub on the top of the gas tank at full lock. If you’re going with the PT Contours then you will need clamps that accommodate 1 1/8th” size bars. With fat bar you can go with most all your different bends because the clamp gives the height to clear the tank. Rox speedworks has some cool riser clamps. Trail Tech clamps are a 1 ½” taller than stock. Pro Taper adaptors are ¾” taller than stock.
cool thanks alot,. so do you know any good direct replacements that you would reccomend?. i may just get the clamps and go with pro taper, but i wasn't sure if that was a must do upgrade, or just for strenght,..i can't spend tons right now, but i'd say about 100 for new bars, i was hoping to do the bars and clamps for under 100 if i can... thanks again.
A direct replacement would be a 7/8th” diameter bar in a Raptor bend. You might be able to get Trail Tech fat bars (1 1/8th”) and some Pro Taper clamps for around $100. I’m still waiting for my bars, but I’m getting Tag T2 CR double high ($85) to put on my Trail Tech clamps ($74). If my calculations are correct that should put me 1/2” higher than stock and a lot more comfortable of a bend.
wow, the different type bends , i don't know what to get..., that direct replacement would save me some $, but you said the new clamps will give me a little more height?. hmmm. hard choices.. dang, what to do what to do..
oh shit, i just found this one http://www.magicracing.com/Pro-Taper-Contour-Universal-Kit_p_155-1549.html
a kit. all be dammed., oh it adds up the same if i buy them seperate,,
Do the research on the height of the bars and clamp/risers….allot of combos come in at a lower height than stock…..some higher then you might need longer cables beyond an inch and a quarter above stock.
I run Pro Taper SE ATV Hi Bends with no risers. They scrub the plastic at full lock a little, but nothing to cry over. They also look a ton better than the narrow Raptor bend. The rise, pull back and width are perfect for me.
You can run any 7\8" bar in the stock clamps. SE stands for 7\8" by the way.
i can't see the pics, my computer here at work blocks them, on the SE bars when you add them, do you get rid of the white plastic piece around the key? and if so is the key still mounted there but just without the plastic. dang computer, i wish i could see...
