Its definatly more dificult then some other bikes out there. The angle of the 400ex one is nice one the thumb and will fit on our bikes.

With my riding style my thumb cramps up pretty bad and I have to stop. Alot of on and off throttle actuation. Maybe the duners etc. dont have this problem because they are usually hammer down the majority of the time.

So whats the deal with this honda throttle, whats it involve?

I agree. But I've been riding for about 18 yrs now. So I'm used to it.
And when you thumb is hurting, use the plam of your hand!

The way the Honda throttle Housings are setup, the throttle lever is a bit longer and posistioned at a different angle than the Yamaha throttle, that in itself makes applying the throttle much easyer and resulting in alot less cramps, myself as an XC Racer need all the comfort to ride for 2 straight hours as possible and even Bill Ballance who Races for Yamaha choose to run a Honda style throttle on his YFZ.......Heres 2 pictures to justify the difference for more comparison

Sorry its not a perfect comparison but theres some examples

You sissies!!!

Try pushing the thumb throttle on a set of 39mm FCRS for any period of time and then tell me about a stiff thumb throttle.... Its 5x heavier easy... I ran that on my 720 stroker forever...

I run three 44mm carbs and keep braking the thumb lever... :nana: After the third time I put a twist one one!! Not because it hit my thumb, but because it was costing me $$ :grin_nod:
