Is the Durablue 2+2 axle wider than stock even when not using the spacers? I bought a Durablue axle on eBay and I'm not sure if it's a 2+2 or what. Anyone know the end-to-end width of a 2+2 axle?
I will have to dig out my stock axle and measure the width to be sure, but my understanding is the 2+2 means that it would be 2 inches wider than stock with the added adjustment of another 2 inches using the spacers. If you notice there are only two 1" spacers on the axle which only allows for 2 inches of adjustment.
Let me go dig up my stock axle...... Just measured and the total width is 34".
The 2+2 axle would be 2 inches wider than stock with the spacers mounted on the outside of the hub and then allow another 2 inches of adjustment by moving the two 1" spacers to the inside of the hub.
