Anybody read motoman's theories on porting, etc.? I'm not experienced with that level of modification so I'm wondering what someone with more knowledge/experience thinks of this site's info. Definitely a lot of food for thought, lots of porting/tuning/break-in info, I'd like some feedback on these theories that sound so good but goes against the grain for some of us older guys, yet it all seems to make sense when you analyze the information. Read this stuff, it's eye-opening, to say the least! I wish I could go back in time four months and break-in my raptor according to this info!

i disagree. increased air volume is what we are after, because more air and more fuel makes power. by making the ports smaller, you are creating a restriction to increase the air velocity. a restriction means LESS volume, plain and simple. the goal is to keep the same or higher velocity with larger ports, thats where the volume and more power should come from.
