Well I wasn't having much luck in the discussion forum so I'm posting it again here. I'm going to be upgrading my steering stem this winter since I tweaked the stock one and I wanted to know if I go with an aftermarket stem such as a Houser with a +1 or +2 over stock will I want to change my handlebars at the same time and if so which bend would I want. I've been eyeing the trailtech x bars but wasn't sure which bend would be appropriate with a longer stem. I'm around 6'1 and plan on racing some hare scrambles and I mainly trail ride. I feel right now that sometimes I'm leaning forward to much when riding so I'm looking to bring the bars back to me a little more which I will probably do with the steering stem since the factory one is bent. Which trailtech x bar bend would be the equivalent of the stock bars and would work with a +1 or +2? Thanks

Pick up a Houser or a Gibson stem. Doesnt matter if you go with a +1 or +2. The T-2 CR high bend will work with either. It's a HUGE improvement over the stock bars. I'm going to get a set of Flexx Bars after the new year, so I'm excited to see what sort of handling improvement I will receive in exchange for 300 bills.

Thanks for the reply, I'm assuming that the Trailtech X bars High bend would be comparible to the CR High Bend?

For a handlebar measurement chart (all aftermarket makes) go to RockymountainAtv.com and click on the link in the left column. This will help with the comparison.

Try going on e-bay, I have friends that run +1 Tag, Houser, Laeg'ers and Gibson. All make good up-grades. I use a LSR stem and had to wait to get it. But after seeing the stems my friends had and how they ride (hard) I would buy any of the above stems. Try www.magicracing.com or world wide atv parts.

DrDsRaptor: Unless you plan on doing some wild Sh!t I think you would be happy with the Houser. Thay have been at it for a long time, not new comer's.. My friend's TAG is holding up good. Tag has a good rep.....
